keitH kiMMel poetry

On mr. young's understanding.
The sick perverted
Woes the beauty
With ideas--
Ideas of some sort of underground
"it don't hurt nobody."

Blues Poem .1
taken by the tips of its horns.
guise of sing song
using Old Words new,
Some sort of bat rat stew.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INNOVATIVE ARTIST RETURNS TO HIS ROOTS TO BRING A MESSAGE OF HOPE FOR ARTISTS EVERYWHERE

Opening Night: The Art of kEith
Saturday, August 11 from 7 – 10 PM
136 NW 37th Street, Miami

kEith's story reflects that of every artist. The artist experiences an exquisitely perfect idea, but is frustrated by the imperfect system through which it is conveyed. kEith is inspired to do it anyway. He is determined to express, through whatever vehicle available, the totality of his ideas as close to perfection as possible.

His idea: the artist experiences the ideal—and must stand in his power as a force for reconnection and social transformation. Only once the artist acknowledges his transformational power can we ever hope to correct the society's downward spiral into fear and selfish consumerism. His message understandably has some urgency because of the current state of the world. Artists experience and convey divine, higher ideals, bringing the consciousness shift that will heal our community. Unless the artist speaks up and says what he sees, our world will continue to miss the opportunity to tap into love in a mature and wise way.

His studio in the Wynwood/Design District has its opening night on the 2nd Saturday, August 11 from 7 PM – 10 PM. There he welcomes all artists, art collectors, patrons and the community to share his good news, and support this hopeful message for a city that owes its economic revitalization to cultural arts. He's already enlisted the support of local businesses in the creation of his studio.

His work goes beyond the free hippie-mentality of the Sixties to call for a systematic and sustained practice of love attained through the revival of rich, nurtured, divine connection. It's not about getting high and getting off. It's about the consistent practice of real love, truth, integrity; it's a call for correction and repentance.

Born and raised in South Florida, he left ten years ago to travel the country in pursuit of a modern bohemian lifestyle supported by graphic design and writing. His return to Florida was precipitated by his desire to bring a mature perspective to the evolution of art in our community.

"I feel like a prophet standing at the town's gates," kEith says. "My message is that art is really about the reconnection to the divine. All else needs to get out of the way."

kEith is drawn to writers whose use of words and adjectives brings color and dimension to their writing. On his shelf, along with his own novel, JeremysProphecy.com, you'll find many of the beat writers such as Jack Kerouac and Ginsburg, as well as Tom Robbins, and the 19th century romantics, like William Blake, who were dedicated to higher ideals. His own use of characters, colors and symbols tell the deeper story of his life: every artist struggles with self-value when the world neglects its soul.

kEith's art is interactive. Its full significance is revealed through the audience's interpretation. Most artists prefer to separate their workspace from the venue where their work is displayed. kEith's desire is to blur the line so that the community has a real interaction with him as a creator. Unlike most art shows, his visitors will be encouraged to lend insights into his work. He feels this will allow the community to reconnect to their creativity, and illustrate the intrinsic value art and artists have for the development of the soul.

One thing he's certain of: the time has come for artists to reclaim their place as channels of the divine ideals. He's more than happy to lead the way.
